Chinese Odyssey Volume 5

Because the introduction to grammar concluded at the end of Volume 4, this volume focuses on 虚词/虛詞 (xūcí) and the written language 书面语/書面語 (shūmiànyǔ). Students will learn about Chinese cuisine, holidays, and typical leisure activities, and the differences/similarities between Eastern and Western medicine. Students are encouraged to discuss and debate each of the topics covered. By the end of Volume 5, students will have developed a more sophisticated vocabulary base, started learning how to speak the Chinese language with accuracy and fluency, and gained increased knowledge of Chinese culture. Volume 5 has a total of five lessons.
